Temperature records are part of the daily working routine in many kebab shops and takeaways. A digital logbook helps keep these entries together, rather than spread across loose sheets or several notebooks. KebabSafe brings temperature checks into the same place as your other daily hygiene records.
What belongs in a temperature record?
Use the fields available in the app to identify the equipment or check, enter the temperature you actually measured, and add relevant notes. Your shop’s own procedures should determine when checks happen and what action is required. A saved entry records a result; it does not, by itself, confirm that the result is acceptable.
Keep equipment easy to identify
Use clear, consistent names such as “Fridge 1” or “Freezer 2” where the app allows. This makes it easier to understand which piece of equipment an entry refers to when you review your kitchen records later. Check the date and equipment details before saving.
Record the reading, then any action
Carry out the check using your shop’s established process. Enter the measured result rather than an expected value. If your procedures call for action, carry that out and record relevant notes in the available fields. Follow your shop’s guidance and the applicable food safety requirements.
Review entries as part of your routine
Open Records to review saved temperature checks alongside other entries. Look for missing checks, unclear equipment names or notes that need attention. Where the app provides an option to correct a record, use it carefully so your records reflect what actually happened.
